A very attractive and good quality mahogany and inlaid Pembroke table on square tapering legs, terminating on small brass castors. Circa 1810. This item has had small repairs to cross banding and has been cleaned, polished and wax finished for its age. This item is in lovely condition.

The Pembroke table was named after the Countess of Pembroke who commissioned the first type of this table in the late 17th century, with the design subsequently copied by others. An ideal table for smaller spaces given its practical proportions and perfect for a multiple uses and as an occasional table.
